ABNpays is a fintech platform designed to make bill payments and financial management effortless. With it, you can create and fund a virtual wallet, pay bills, and track your transactions in real time—all in one place. Whether it’s airtime, data, electricity, or subscriptions, ABNpays ensures a smooth and hassle-free experience.

When ABNpays approached me, they had a clear vision: to create a seamless bill payment platform that makes managing digital transactions effortless. They wanted a solution that would not only allow users to fund their wallets with ease but also give them quick access to essential services like airtime, data, electricity, and subscriptions—all in one place.

Having worked on fintech and bill payment platforms before—and as an active user myself—I understand the common pain points users face: clunky interfaces, slow transactions, and a lack of transparency. With this in mind, I took a user-first approach to designing ABNpays, ensuring that every interaction felt smooth, intuitive, and efficient.

Streamlining Wallet Funding: Users needed a fast and reliable way to fund their wallets without friction. To solve this, I designed an instant funding system using personal virtual accounts, allowing users to deposit funds seamlessly without manual confirmations or delays. This ensured that users could always access their money when needed.

Enabling Quick & Effortless Bill Payments: Most users don’t want to navigate through multiple steps just to buy airtime or pay for electricity. To simplify this, I implemented a Quick Actions section on the home screen, giving users one-tap access to essential services like Airtime, Data, Electricity, CableTV, Betting, and more. This made transactions significantly faster and more intuitive.

Designing for Multiple User Preferences: Not all users prefer mobile apps—some feel more comfortable making payments on a bigger screen, especially for work-related transactions or when managing multiple bills at once. To cater to these users, I designed a responsive web app that provides the same seamless experience as the mobile version, ensuring accessibility across devices.
